Subject says it all.
I can open the app. But the moment I try to make a call or receive a call, the apps goes on a crash loop. I cannot view the contact if who is calling me, i cannot hang up, and I cannot use the phone as the app keeps popping in front and crashing.
Resetting the phone is not an option as I have multiple MFAs configured and not easy to restore.
Anybody with the same problem or any solution for this issue?
I have already cleared the storage for the app, rebooted the phone multiple times and even tried on safe mode.

I did the same 3gb update on my cell phone.
I cannot accept calls.
I cannot see the keypad to press a button when I'm in a call.
This is getting horrible now.
I will not reset my phone either.
Please someone help.

This is a temporary fix: install the Google Phone app. On first use, make it the default phone app. Click on the blue icon on the bottom right to open the phone keyboard. Don't use Samsung phone app until they send an update fixing it.

After many days, neither AT&T nor Samsung have made an official statement. I think we are getting closer and closer to a class action lawsuit.
Anybody up for pushing hard? Also, any lawyers interested in this case?

Well, now I'm worried about the so called patch. I have already fixed my phone and worried if the new patch might just mess it up again for me. Oh dear!

I have the same issue - if someone calls me it puts my phone into a "crashing app" loop. Can not hang up on a person that I initiate a call with, can not answer an incoming call. when i called at&t they are saying its my device...so I'm forced to make an insurance claim and pay a deductible for a new device....due to a Samsung/Android issue. I'm beyond frustrated and angry.
EDIT: I later called Samsung who told me they are aware of the issue and that i could take my phone to one of those "IFIX" phones type of places. And have them fix the issue. WHAT?!

I'm with you here. Exact same thing happening. I've repaired apps, cleared the cache, and all. Any tech I speak with tells me that my only option is to wait and deal with the constant errors that are popping up or to do a factory reset. Come on Samsung, get your OS fixed before more people drop your hardware. This half baked update should never have been pushed out without being tested on all phone models.

Thank you Artstar47, this allows me to see the keypad, answer call, hold, handup, speaker, mute.
I have a temp solution in using a cell phone as a cell phone. Haha
I'll wait for the fix now.
Anyone watching i installed: CallApp: Caller ID & Block (Block circle icon). Set it as default as indicated.

Spam @SamsungMobile @SamsungMobileUS both on Twitter. I've been posting 100s of comments & messages. Companies like Samsung do not like this, trust me. I have not had the ability to answer or make a call since 11/22. This is BULL****. $2K phone & lifelong Samsung user. ***** this update. ***** the Google call app. ***** Samsung.

Spam them on social media. Twitter especially. Write bad reviews. Try

These instructions fixed me up. Thanks for making this detailed enough to follow.
