Hi all.. I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I've had my S22 U for just 1 day and I can't figure out why my PC doesn't see it.
Using a USB-C to USB-AI connevt the phone to the pc, I swipe down the noti. area, and there is the setting labled 'Cable Charging'. When I click on this It is supposed to open the 'what do you want to do' Transfer photoes, files etc.. But it instead goes to the battery page.
I have enabled USB debugging and Transferring files is selected..
Have tried a couple of different cables and a couple of different USB ports.
I've installed DEX (not sure what it is really), and that doesnt recognise when my phone is connected.
I can pair them via Bluetooth, but can only xfer files only, not folders. So music will take far too much time.
Win 11
Hope someone can enlighten me..
Thanks so much
Tracy

(Issue solved for me)
Hi,
I also comes from a Honor View 20 (pretty much the same than the Huawei p20) and I had the same issue, and it was because of the cable.
I found out that the phone will absolutely refuse to suggest data transfer (but only charging) if I use a fast charging cable (with purple plastic plug) like the one provided with Honor / Huawei phones (although it works for data transfert on my Honor P20)
A low end USB cable, or a USB2 cable with USB-C adaptor just works fine. I tried 8 different cables before finding that out.

Good Afternoon.
I have the exact same issue. I tried everything in this forum which did not resolve the issue.
Spoke to Samsung customer support this morning who have spoken to their technical team and they advised that this issue will be resolved in the next update and that they are aware of this problem with connecting to the pc.

i found the issue , that we are trying on the Huawei usb cable , and that cable for some reason not working with New samsung phones for data, even though its working with old samsung and Huawei for data, so i bought new cable from anker and i have no issue. so its seems the standard now for new cables its different.
i faced the same for android auto as well, so i can confirm its cable issue some how ,
so if you need to copy the data you can try copying that over wi-fi which mentioned in some posts below , however if you still need to copy or use android auto , you need to use either USB to USB-c convertor with original cable (usb-c both ends ) or buy a cable supports PD.

Hi, in my case the reason my PC didn’t connect to the phone was Samsung Dex.
For some reason it opened in the background every time I connected my Samsung S22 ultra with a USB cable to my windows laptop.
After removing the Samsung DEX software from my laptop, I was able to connect my phone.

I had the same problem and i can solve it.
1.go to setting/about phone and enable Developer Mod
2. go to Developer options
3. enable USB debugging
4. Revoke USB debugging authorisation / ok
5. connect usb cable to pc and it should be work and then you can disable USB debugging mod, IF not work try 3 to 5 again.
