Galaxy S22 Ultra - Battery drains very quickly

Have had my Galaxy S22 Ultra (Exynos) since launch and it's really good coming from the Pixel 6 Pro but having three issues which I'm sure are linked:

> Battery drains very quickly. I'd unplug it at 100% and within 10 mins of idle I've already lost one percent of my battery. SOT maximum is 3 hours so am tied to a powerbank. This is pathetic and I'm needlessly using up charge cycles.
>Phone is hot on idle. I'd pull the phone out of my pocket where it hasn't been touched but it will hot to the touch
>Constant microlags and stutters whilst using the phone in e.g. the interface.

Anyone else having these issues? I already factory reset one day after having it as thought this to ve abnormal but it's still exactly the same.

Your battery is really good right. U used it for 4hrs and battery went down from nearly like 85% to 35-40% right. So it drained 45-50% in 4hrs.So u get easily 8-8.5hrs of screen time. Thats Very good.

Try changing the screen mode from vivid to natural.

Sorry to hear!

Still waiting on my S22 Ultra Graphite, there have been many delays! 🙃

Nevertheless, try this out, and it should help boost battery and performance!

1) Power off your device completely

2) Hold down on the power button and the volume up button and let go of them immediately once you see the Samsung logo disappear

3) Then a recovery menu will appear, which you can navigate using the volume buttons

4) Go down to 'Wipe partition cache' and select it using the power button

5) Then use the same way to navigate to 'Yes' and select with power button

6) Once it's done, it will show the recovery menu again and then navigate to 'Reboot system now' which should be the first option and this will start your phone up again.

DO NOT WORRY! This does not delete any of your data files, images etc. It simply clears out the cache and especially unnecessary cache data. A few people have tried this and seen great improvements in performance and battery life 👍

Same issue here with S22 Ultra, battery life is disaster 😤

Switched from S21 Ultra which I still get day and half out of the battery. Data copied with SmartSwitch, same settings and I am getting 7 hours from S22 Ultra. Thank you Samsung 😬

1) Whenver I restarted the phone, there'll be an automatic drop of at least 2% of batt.

2) today, I used Waze for 30 mins, the battery dropped 30-35%!

3) on an unrelated issue, I had trouble backing up my WhatsApp with Google Drive, and I accidentally deleted my WhatsApp's Google Drive Backup.

When I reinstalled WhatsApp, all my chat history were gone. When it finally able to back up (with nothing in the app), it took Four HOURS to completely back up to my Google Drive!

Completely agree. I came from Huawei P30 pro where the battery life was super good (even with lesser capacity) and now I carry a power bank. Phone gets super hot on idle overnight especially  @samsung please fix fhis 🙏

I feel exactly the same with you. I come from using Huawei p30pro and sorry Samsung, your battery is so far away from Huawei. I meant, my new Samsung s22 ultra need to be rechard after 10 hours listening music on YouTube music but with Huawei after 10 hours on YouTube music came home from work with 35% battery. I have already few issues. I hope that they will sort it out soon. All the best!

Coming from an S21, the S22 is leagues better. It is unfortunate these people are having these issues but the S22 is absolutely mind-bogglingly better. The camera is out of this world and the S-pen's new functions are astounding. I've only had it for a week or so but I could never go back.
