This doesn't address the issue he's seeing. There doesn't seem to be a way to disable roaming on one sim and enable it on the other. There used to be, but it's gone now.

There isn't. There's only the option for Primary SIM, I can't direct calls, text, or data to either one specifically.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet?
Or can anyone confirm if this could be the solution?
1. Both SIM1 and eSIM are active
2. Set Primary SIM to eSIM during travel
3. Set data switching to OFF

Hey, thanks for the response.
I don't have those options that you do on the bottom of the SIM Manager screen.
I have S22U in Canada, I think this is the north American version issue ppl have been mentioning.

You're correct, it was disabled on NA devices for some idiotic reason (I suspect carrier pressure). I'm in France now and what I did was disable my Roger's SIM, and enable the eSIM. So I have no phone number now, but I can use data. Not ideal.

Ensure both physical and esim are enabled.
Under the preferred SIM section, set Mobile Data to the esim.
Turn Data switching and backup call to off.
Under Mobile Networks menu.
Ensure Data Roaming is on
If have the option 4G calling in main SIM, switch this off.
Make sure you can see and select Network mode for your esim.
Check and ensure you have the correct APN setup for your esim.
These are the settings I used on a recent trip to Asia, the esim worked flawlessly.
