Just dropped into my local samsung store in glasgow, after telling them after ui 6.1 update the phone overheats top right corner, signal drops completely and that's with bluetooth, wifi and roaming data all turned off the phone then goes into a restarting loop, it used to last around 15 minutes but now it can take hours and I said the update has caused the motherboard failure, he turned round and said you can't be certain as we haven't had anyone else in with this problem but we charge £30 to diagnose and if it is the motherboard and your out of warranty it's around £600, woman next to me was talking to another member of staff turned around and said nobody else has been in and reported this?? I'm here for the same thing on my s23. Samsung should be taking responsibility and repairing these "flagship" bricks free of charge, your customers never broke the phones YOUR updates did! As for me as a samsung customer for 20 odd years I'm never buying a samsung device again and I'm waiting on my new iPhone being delivered, I really hope anyone experiencing this problem gets handsets repaired for free if samsung take ownership, but I doubt it

They bout to say that aren't they. Treat us like mugs knowing that we'll pay if we want the phone that badly. 😏

This is getting reported quite regularly now. My thoughts are that Samsung have far too many phones and the same phones with different hardware depending on the region they're sold in. I don't think they're testing the software on all the phones thoroughly.

It's ridiculous, why pay all that for a repair when could put it towards the s25, but will the s25 encounter bootloop in 2 years when 2 other phones get released, If they owned up it was the update and offered a repair then I'd stick by them but denying all knowledge I'll spend my money elsewhere

iv managed to have it continuously operate for 10 hours without boot looping not even once i also did the catch wipe before starting this test yesterday

to get the data catch wipe to work i had to use a different type c wire plugged into my pc(works with laptops too) for my pc to recognize it then i was able to get onto the menu after doing the steps.

Yeah I've cleared the cache 3 times in a row to clear everything, had it working with no crashes for 3 weeks, turned on the wifi to download the latest update thinking this was a fix and it was crashing at least 3 times per day, iPhone pro max gets delivered today so my loyalty with samsung is over 🙂

at this point the lack of care from Samsung is hilarious, your story is a stellar example how blatantly they are lying in our face, thanks for sharing!

Is the phone under warranty? If yes then it gets repaired. Otherwise tough luck. It will be so with any other brand
