Hi there,
i fell of a boat, had to swim for a while and now my phone (Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G) has water damage. The phone was dead when I came out of the water and there were water droplets inside the camera lenses. I left it to dry for 24+ hours, then the back came of and I let it dry in the wind for another 4/5 hours or so. I opened the phone and the insides seemed dry with minimal/no signs of water. The phone turns on, charges normally and everything seems to work fine except for three things; The flashlight/LED is always on (also when phone is turned off), the phone reads my SIM card but I do not have a cellular connection (flightmode is greyed out) and the camera(s) do not work. The cameras worked for a second after the first reboot though. I am wondering if changing the usb-c sub board would improve the situation or if this phone is a write-off...

I'm disheartened to hear of your overboard experience.
Unfortunately salt water / lake water won't do the insides any good at all as there would be a risk of the mother board and components oxidising etc meaning possible catastrophic failures straight away or sometime after.
In regards to repairs the advice we give is to seek support from a Samsung Service Centre.
Part of the rules of the Samsung Community Forum is to not provide repair advise.

The Samsung Service Centre wouod give a costing so then you can make an informed decision i.e does the cost outweigh the cost of a new phone.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
