I have the galaxy a55 and after its been in my pocket for a while it gets hot and starts dialing numbers on its own on the emergency phone. The screen becomes completely unresponsive to my touch and it starts touching buttons and typing on its own like a ghost.
Is there any fix. It is clearly a software issue as when i manage to restart it finally it is all ok again. This has happened a few times.
Please any help.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

Go to Settings > tap Display. Step 2. Tap the switch next to Accidental touch protection to turn the feature on

Also, press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time until the phone re- starts.

Hello 👋 @dany423

Does your phone have a case fitted ?

If your phone us using resource hungry apps such as Facebook  / social media in the background then it can warm up especially if it's in a pocket that offers little ventilation.

You could try >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

I cleared the system partition cache and took it out the case but the problem was still there.
