My #Samsung Odyssey G7 is around a year old, and recently it's been giving me problems
The main menu button on the back of the monitor sometimes, seemingly at random, fails to respond. Toggling the joystick left brings up the source menu, and down brings up volume. Left toggle does nothing, and the pressing the main menu button does not being up the menu.
Strangely, when scrolling through available sources, the directional buttons are inverted.
Holding down the menu button to put the monitor on standby (and get rid of the flashing light) also does nothing.
I have to pull the power cord instead, and this seems to reset the monitor and brings back menu functionality for a little while.
The sources that it uses are two HDMI sources (I have to swap cables when I want to use either device) and a Display Port source.
I am hoping to update the firmware to see if this fixes it, but as I am stuck on my work laptop (the Display Port input), I can't use a USB. Since I now can't switch source to my home PC without any kind of control, this will be an issue to update.
The button is not stuck, nor did it receive a bump or knock that may have broken it.
This is a real pain, and I'd rather not have to send my monitor (that I rely on for work and play) off for a few weeks/months if I can fix something on my end.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can only speak for my situation, but I had exactly the same issues and it was all cleared up by loading the latest firmware by USB. The monitor and joystick menu has been faultless since. Good luck. Been a great monitor since.

Update on this. It stopped working when unplugged and the problem is now back on a daily basis. I'm not sure, but I've noticed that the problem occurs more often when it gets colder. I will now try to update to the latest firmware. The problem is, I can't even navigate through the menu I've paid almost 800€, 2 times service, now after warranty I'm stuck with this piece of s.... monitor.

The graphics card does not have anything to do with that!
You should be able to use the onboard Graphic Card if so!

The sources that it uses don't have any impact. I am using HDMI and DP, switching them, but no results.
The Jog button is simply NOT WORKING!!!

It looks like Samsung produce monitors to last only as long as warranty. This is my Third One with the same problems.
Newer again.
Samsung shame on you!

I assume you've downloaded the latest firmware update? I did that and since then the menu button has been perfect. It's now the best monitor I've had.

Oh come one, please stop. There is enough physical evidence on the web that the jog buttons on these monitors are of poor quality. The actual metal contacts will break after some time. If you switch sources on a daily basis, you WILL reach the MTBF of these things roughly within the warranty time of the monitor if you are lucky.
I took the button apart myself and there is not much you can do but replace the button after it breaks.
There is no magical software solution to that.
