Just installed the 980 and did a benchmark, everything seemed fine at first but I’m getting extremely low write scores. 3373 sequential read, 410156 random read, but 618 sequential write and 73974 random write. Did I install the ssd wrong or do something to mess it up?

maybe it's in an M.2 slot that shares bandwidth with SATA ports. Check your motherboard manual to make sure you either position the SATA devices in other ports or if available use another M.2 slot as some boards have two. Also, there is a bug in Windows 11 that affects nvme drives at present and slows them to a crawl.
