Hdmi input setting for sound bar

Hi all , on your TV for those that have a sound bar connected via HDMI arc , what do you set your hdmi input setting to ??? Pcm or bitstream ???

I use Bitstream, as is explained in the article @Pugs1957  the quality will very much depend on your particular system.

Hi @JAMES4578 I have a Sonos beam gen 2 and 2 One SL surround speakers connected via HDMI to my Samsung nu437400 TV

@Edgie70 Think I would go with Bitstream, you may wish to make a  comparison though.

Probably bitstream if you are using external speakers. But every person's taste is different, so try both of the settings and see which one you prefer.

What is your audio output set to ?

It was set to pcm but not it's set to bitstream

It was set to pcm but now it's Dolby digital
