Hey guys, I know it's early days, but the past few models I've had have had the LTE overheat issue when used as a standalone. Apparently, it's due to the antenna being too small and struggling/heating up trying to get a signal. Does anyone know if any changes have been made to the antenna? I haven't seen a full breakdown, just wondered if anyone has any knowledge.
It's 100% antenna issue the watch doesn't physically get hot it just says watch overheating going into airplane mode and stops working for 15mins typical example il goto gym put phone in locker and use watch to relieve calls text etc and track fitness if I get a call within seconds watch stops working u lose your health tracking hence the reason I don't have a data plan no more if you goto search function on this forum type in lte overheat you will be suprised
i want to know too. my watch 4 lte has been useless to me and i got stuck on contract with it. i live in an area where phone only gets 2 or 3 bars for LTE so the watch easily overheats in 1 minute on lte.
Well I just got mine today. Just finished setting cellular up. And thought I would try it to make sure it's working. And straight away it got hot and said the watch is overheating and turned on airplane mode and changed to power saving. Not sure if it's just mine though. Guess I will find out in few days from feedback on the forum
