Hi everyone,

Has anyone else experienced issues with Samsung Pay/Wallet on the Galaxy Watch Ultra since the latest update (L705FXXU1AYCD) was released on April 24? Despite reinstalling and resetting my watch, it still fails to connect with payment terminals. I successfully installed Google Wallet, which works flawlessly, allowing transactions to go through without any issues. When I contacted Samsung Support, they hadn’t heard about the bug—though the representative I spoke to mentioned she uses an iPhone, which makes me suspect the interest in resolving this issue might not be as high.

I’d be interested to hear if others with the Galaxy Watch Ultra are facing the same issue or have found a solution!

Yes, I've experienced the same issue since the update, I've cleared the cache on the Samsung Wallet (Watch) and switched off / on NFC on the watch, managed to make one payment so far but now have to use my phone for payments.

There's a Samsung Wallet Watch update in the Galaxy Store this morning, not sure if it'll fix the issue.

I came across this post this morning while googling this issue, unfortunately I can't locate it on members but thank you MagedMagic, all credit to him because it seems to have worked for me.

Recently i received the One UI 6 on my watch ultra and since then the wallet payment was not going through. It opens. Shows the card. Then readers cannot get the card info. I might have found the issue after the update. Below is what I did:

On your watch drop down menu. Long press on NFC to get to NFC sittings. Scroll all the way down until you see others. Press on it. Then disable the Samsung health. 

Now it should not interfere with the card.

Let me know you had the issue and if it worked.

Further to my post yesterday (above), I have bad news I'm afraid, although I successfully managed to pay with my watch / wallet yesterday, today I had no such luck. I tried multiple times in 3 shops using 2 different cards, all without success, my 7 Ultra just went to a black screen each time. This is incredibly frustrating and I with Samsung would get their skates on rolling out a fix 🙄

Hi Wotsisname, exactly the same result for me, Samsung Pay just won't work for me on the Ultra since the last update. I'd hoped the Samsung Pay Watch update would have resolved the issue but no change, the card shows on the screen but screen goes blank when presented to a card reader and the payment fails.

I also have the same problem. When I try to pay from the smartwatch, the screen becomes black and the payment is never successful. All this after updating the firmware of the Galaxy Watch Ultra
