Galaxy Watch 6 won't connect to phone

My watch 6 recently started refusing to connect to my phone via bluetooth. It would connect via WiFi fine, and both my phone and watch can connect to other bluetooth devices fine.

After reading other posts, I reset my watch, and now I can't reconnect it. I have reinstalled the wearables app and galaxy watch plugin multiple times, as well as clearing data to no avail.

Because Samsung have removed the watch independent functionality, I have a 150 quid desk decoration at the moment, and Samsung want me to send it in. I have this as a last resort as I doubt warranty will cover it.

Model #SM-R930NZKAEUA   if that helps

Solution:

Apparently some kind of permission error happened, stopping my watch and phone from connecting. The solution is to go Settings > Apps > Three dots (top right) > Reset App Preferences

It does reset a bunch of stuff, and re-enables any disabled apps, but it means my smartwatch is a smartwatch, not a £174 paper weight

Things to try.

Reset watch. You did that already

Check the Bluetooth menu in your phone. It might still appear as paired. Unpair it if it shows up.

Uninstall the watch manager app on your phone.

Force stop and clear the cache of the wear app.

Reboot phone.

Now try and set it up again

I have given that one last go for good measure, but no luck. A few people have said it might be a dodgy new device, but I haven't connected anything new, nor installed anything new
