Samsung Ring - Take two is it for me or you?

I had purchased my own Ring a size 13, but returned it due to being tight at night.

Enter @SocietyGirl and @Lucy C  to kindly offer a haul of products to test, perks of being a Samsung Members Star, first up was the Ring, this time size 14.

SUMMARY

Expensive, but majority of us peeps buy Samsung for technology innovation, this ticks those boxes, but for me it is still a confused product placement, it should be clear, it is just an elegant, simple, high tech smart health Ring, not fitness but Health focused and not to replace a phone. 

If you take that stance then its a great one to have, if your the unplugged technology type, but still want the Whoop band style ruch health insights, without the bulky watch and never ending notifications.

POSITIONING

The Ring will always let the Watch lead if it is connected, so bear in mind £399 is allot but you probably paid £1200 to £1800 for the mobile. I wore the Ring on its own and then with my Watch ULTRA, as before definitely sleep metrics benefit from the Ring and if it appleids Period, Cycle tracking.

POSITIVES

IPX8 rated, I can safely say and you have seen it deliver without issue in hot 90C sauna, steam rooms, pools, ice bath and of course a curry. Battery is amazing, continously used and set the measure, nearly 7 days on still 50%., I think official stats suggest 7 days, I reckon 12 days.

Find and left behind function are great as is the updated to allow blink to find nearby.

NEGATIVES

Unrepairable, purely due to its insane level of technology miniaturisation.

Expensive, but we dont buy Ultras, Flips, Folds as budget items, we want the pinnacle.

Sadly size is still to tight, make sure you actually use it for sleep as your finger swell can cause issues.

I am right in saying you can order a sizing kit to test beforehand? I'd imagine it's more a matter of testing the settings before choosing your size.

Perks of being a member—I'm on the edge of buying a ring... I don't need it, but the ecosystem is calling.

*Very jealous of the Samsung merch.

Yes but if possible just get to a shop and speed up the process, but critically as I ahve found twice now, a quick band sizing is not enough, it has to be worn, especially at night, I would say whatever your Ring size kit result go at least one or two sizes up, 14 and 15 are two new sizes, nice Samsung listened.

Also forgot to say yes I did use my Ring size 13 on my index, middle finger and actually preferred my thumb, but did read some Samsung FAQ suggesting Index is the best, thumb the worst as more thicker muscles, note the pinch functions work fine on any finger or thumb, but not my toe 😂

It is amazing to test and have free product's, but note aside from my big ***** fridge and microwave, my long list of Samsung products was purchased with my own cash, I like to say what I think, I call a spade a spade.

That said watch this forum as the Stars are testing allot of products and potentially some major freebies to keep again ❤

Accurate description. Making the best of mine so far.
I still can't believe every ring ends up being too tight on your finger. Mine is a bit lose and I keep it on my thumb mostly.

That last bit is the realest thing ever. Get a smaller size- so convinced you could with a toe

Can't find the picture from Gamescom 2024 when I grabbed a stack of Ring sizers and fitting around 8 on my fingers 😂

Thumb won't give as accurate measurements, but it looks cool, best to go two sizes up, but saying that my size 14 fits no one else except my sausage fingers 🙏

Yes i noticed that, I swap between the index and the thumb but the thumb feels safer. But if i need to do anything serious job than I swap it back on the index. It's not that large, but I don't want to lose it as it's quite light.
Maybe your size increases during the day due to activity.
