Upgrading Watch 5

Hi

I have the Watch 5, the 44mm one. I was wondering if anyone upgraded from the Watch 5 to the Watch 6, and if it is worth doing so?

A Watch 6 (44mm) with student discount and trade in of the watch 5 comes in at about £197. I purchased the Watch 5 for £189 originally. 

Is the upgrade worth it, not just financially, but practically in terms of the watch use compared to the 5?

I also feel like just waiting until the Watch 7.

Yes and yes, i went from a 5Pro to 6 Classic

Personally I would wait for the 7, the 6 is a minor upgrade over the 5. The 7 should be the better choice because Samsung have told me that they don't expect most people to upgrade every year and it's more about refinement and increments.

I don't think he is talking about the Pro or classic as he mentioned 44mm size and no mention of pro or classic.

Ok my wife went from the 5 44mm to a 6 classic and son from a 5 46mm to a 6 classic, we all agree the 6 is the best yet.

Agree but as the OP mentions trade ins and extras usual sweeten the decision, but I will concede the battery life is poor.

Battery life is OK ish on my 6 classic but on my 5 pro it's definitely better. Samsung told me last year that they plan on upgrading the pro line every 2 years and the classic line in the alternative years. So this year should be the 6 pro and next year the 7 classic.

Its odd as my wife and I scrape 2 days, but my sons watch easily manages 3 days and he has more customisation than us.

I did to 6 classic because of the rotating bazel plus better display

I'm not too fussed about the rotating bezel so 6 44mm would be great, but will probably hold out for the 7...I think. At one point late last year, the 5pro was coming in at £179..I wish I got it 😕
