Good afternoon everyone
Another Product Testing Update for you all. This time it is for the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra.
For the opportunity to test and review Samsung products. Thank you so much.
So, I recently received the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra. This was a brand new device with white fascia and white strap.
What's in the box?
The Watch
The Strap
Charger with USB C connection
First thing to note.......
This Samsung Watch Ultra REALLY DOES OOOOZE PREMIUM. It shouts PREMIUM and it really does look the part.
I'm using this Samsung Watch Ultra alongside my Pixel Watch (original version) and the Ultra is in a very different league.
Set up.......
Attaching the strap (yes you do this yourself) was very straight forward. It locked in on first attempt, all is good. Haven't worked out yet how to unlock it mind but I'm sure YouTube could help with that.
Connecting to my Samsung S25 Ultra REALLY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN SIMPLER.
Connected via Bluetooth, followed instructions on the Watch screen then on to the phone screen. Set up took less than 10 minutes from start to finish.
As above, the Samsung Watch Ultra comes with a charger in the box (but not the charging brick). Pop the Watch on the charger, plug the USB C connector into your charging brick and away you go.
The Watch Ultra has, for a Watch, a comparatively large battery so using my 45w Samsung Charging Brick it takes up to an hour to fully charge. For comparison the Pixel Watch takes half that BUT as you'll see in a moment, there's a reason why.
Once fully charged, expect about 3 days change in normal use from your Samsung Watch Ultra. For comparison I have to charge my Pixel Watch every day.
Display.......
Being a 47mm Watch, it looks and feels big. Some might suggest this is a Watch more for the fellas but that is for others to comment upon. Some ladies out there might really like this larger Watch.
Being a large fascia Watch, I have found the display to be clear, easy to read and with a lot of customisation available. I've chosen this Watch Face......
as it enables me to see my steps count without changing the screen.
Steps.....
No, not the awful music group. I'm a keen walker with my Labrador and I monitor my step count. It is not unusual for me to exceed 15000 steps a day, sometimes even hiring 20000.
Having read elsewhere that some users queried the step counting on the Samsung Watch Ultra, I made a conscious decision up use both watches together.
To date I've found both watches recording almost identical step counts so I take the view that both are reasonably accurate.
So, that's it for my first review. On the coming days, look out for further updates about this Samsung Galaxy Watch but for now it is safe to say, I'm REALLY IMPRESSED WITH IT SO FAR. 😀😀
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.
My device is an S25 Ultra.
