WhatsApp call contact name not appearing

Hello,

In my Samsung Fit3, WhatsApp call notifications don't show the contact name. It shows "unknown." Can Samsung fix this?

Have you given WhatsApp permission to access your contacts? You'll need to do this for it to work.

This feels like a settings or WhatsApp issue, not a Samsung one

Privacy Settings:

WhatsApp users can choose who can see their profile information (including their name) through privacy settings. 

They might have it set to "My Contacts" or "Nobody," meaning you won't see their name if you're not in their contacts or if they've chosen not to share it with anyone you're not in contact with.

The phone will display who's calling on WhatsApp. I have given contact access permissions.

But on my Fit3 watch, while a call is coming, the name is not displaying.

Also if I get a WhatsApp message, I get the name of the sender as notification in my fit3. But caller names won't appear.

This is entirely different scenario. The caller has added me to their contact. Still the fit3 can't display the caller's name. While the phone can show who's calling.

Check the WhatsApp settings on your Fit3

Fit3, being a fitness band, has no WhatsApp app installation option. It's working on RTOS, opposite to watchOS on other smartwatches.

Hence there is no specific WhatsApp settings in fit3.
