Request for Assistance with Galaxy Watch 7 Battery Issue

I am writing to express my concern regarding the battery performance of my Galaxy Watch 7, which I purchased just 21 days ago. Despite fully charging the watch and disabling features like WiFi, Bluetooth, and others, the battery life is extremely disappointing. Even after resetting the device twice, the battery depletes completely within 8 to 9 hours of use.

I recently visited the Samsung Customer Service center at Via Cepro 4/F in Rome, but unfortunately, I was informed that this issue is considered normal, and no assistance could be provided(In an insulting manner). I find this response highly unsatisfactory for a product of this caliber.

I kindly request that you review my situation and provide a proper resolution, as this issue has significantly impacted my experience with the product.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely,
Mehdi

Have you tried disabling Google Assistant and clearing data and cache of the assistant in watch ? Settings > apps > assistant

Other thing you can try is wipe cache partition on your watch
1. Hold both the side buttons simultaneously until the watch turns off.
2. After the watch turns off, start pressing the top button repeatedly (no need to hold the bottom button) until you see the Select Reboot Mode menu. 3. Using the top button, move the selection to "Recovery" and hold the top button to select it. 4. Wait for the Recovery menu to load. Now using the bottom button, move the selection to "Wipe cache partition" and click the top button to select it.
5. Next, select the "Yes"" option using the bottom button and click the top button to confirm. 6. You will see the wipe cached and the "Reboot system now" option selected, Press the top button to confirm it and the watch will reboot and turn on.

But no chance at all...

Wipe cache partition is different as you need to press combinations of buttons to access it like mentioned in my previous comment.

@MehdiMo1978  Clearing the cache partition may help,  I take it that your apps and software are up to date.   There are cases where apps can have a bug which causes them to use excessive Battery.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Hi, @MehdiMo1978. In addition to the sound advice that's already been offered here and in addition to what you might have already tried, have you also turned off the Always on Display on your Watch7?

To do this, please open Settings on your Watch7 or open the Wearables app on your connected phone > Display > Always On Display (toggle this off).

Doing this is likely to have a very positive impact on your battery usage.

Please let us know how you get on. 👍

I want to share my experience with you guys.
I didn’t try any of the solutions mentioned above, but I finally managed to fix my watch.
I reset my watch (Settings -> General -> Reset) and paired it with another phone without using any restore options. To my surprise, I found that the problem was fixed when I paired my watch with the new phone.
Logically, this issue should be software-related, and it’s likely that one of the solutions mentioned above (Especially wipe cache) by others could resolve the problem. However, I didn’t try any of them myself because, before considering those methods, I decided to test this approach first because I had two phones, and it was easier and safer for me to confirm that the issue was purely software-related.

Thank you for posting such detailed instructions. I will see if that works for me as I didn't start having the battery drain issue on my Watch 7 until Jan 2025. Seems like the last update reversed Samsung's fix. I have turned off and made most of the suggested adjustments except the ones I use. If I turn off anything else the watch is no better than my Timex.

Thanks again for the instructions.

How did this solution hold?

Is your watch battery still ok? Or went back to the same issue after a while?
