When I run on a treadmill my GW 4 Classic shows wrong values for distances.

My treadmill shows me running 3km for 20 minutes at 9Km/h when my watch shows me running anywhere between 0,28 to 2,5km.  An example: 20 minutes running, 2,900 steps and distance 0,28km. That indicates a stride lenght of 10 cm!!!

Is there anyway to calibrate the stride lenght? (there should be)!

Mine starts showing 2 minute miles when I'm only going 4mph. Steps and calories are accurate but distance is a joke

It's really amazing how this can still be a problem, as treadmill running must be one of the most common excercises. Shouldn't it be fairly easy to estimate stride length based on normal running and then apply it on treadmill running? At least the worst examples above must be possile to avoid (for instance by just estimating stride length based on person lenght - not accurate, but no 10cm), if not else Samsung should provide an option to edit the distance.  Can't imagine Samsung is unaware of this.

I am trying to reach out to Samsung Support, but not expecting any miracles.

as of today after I had to reset my watch it doesn't count ANY steps or calories when doing a treadmill workout...

I'll try setting it as a "walking" or "running" workout next as those usually work fine for me.

Samsung why can't you just listen to your customers?  It's a simple fix to allow us to correct the distance on a treadmill run by manually typing the correct distance.  Why won't you do it? Every other Watch I have had allows it.

And while you're at. Just give us the option to access Samsung health online through a browser. Again your competitors allow us this feature.

I have the same issue with GW5P.   Seems like it works better some days than not. Not only do my distances not match up but my speed and times are off.  Yesterday I did 30 minutes for 1.5 miles and at the 20 minute mark the watch suggested I only did 17 minutes. I had GPS off so not sure why it auto-paused. I even have that turned off as well.  I'd be interested to see if it's a device issue or software issue and if it affects certain physically built devices. At this point I am about to consider filing a claim under Samsung Care, a trade-in program (if any) for a different brand watch, or selling it.

Doesn't seem complicated to troubleshoot this but I could be wrong.

I understand, in the current beta update, they have added treadmill calibration option following the run. Hopefully this solves our issue when the next update is made available

That would certain be good news. Hopefully the update will be sooner than later.

Make sure you install Health Connect for Android 13 and up -- it allows a data repository to exist for all measures of fitness to sync together properly

I use Google Fit on my phone as well and it all syncs properly with Samsung Health while I'm sleeping at the latest

The Galaxy Watch UI 5 update recently released (at least in the U.S.) does allow you to calibrate your treadmill workout after completion by entering the distance travelled. It works just fine on my Galaxy Watch 4 w/ Samsung Health.

How do you perform calibration? I don't see such an option on my GW 5.
