Having some trouble with my galaxy watch 7 40mm. I felt constant vibration going all of a sudden. The screen was lit up and when I touched the screen my pass code came up. Would not respond to my touch but was punching in keys itself. 5 attempts came up but flickering. I manage to get the watch to reboot although still punching keys itself. I thought it was going to ring sos. Once rebooted all loaded up very slowly. I managed to unlock although it was still punching keys by itself. Deleting them it finally let me unlock. It's not good though, it's opening apps I'm not opening. Weather, battery all sorts. Won't respond to my touch, brings in the next tile half way into the screen and that's it. I powered down the watch and left it a while. Powered the watch back on, all seemed OK, it loaded fine and let me put my pass code in. For a minute it was running fine and then it was opening things I hadn't touched. I managed to do diagnostics with great difficulty on some of the test as the watch doesn't want to respond. The diagnostics isn't looking good

The watch even put sleep mode on itself. It completely unusable. First time I've ever had a problem with a samsung watch. I've owned active 2, watch 4, 5, 6.
I will do a back up and reset. See if a reset fixes. Honestly I think I will need to be sending this off to samsung. First time experience samsung customer services myself. Fingers crossed it all goes well. Put it this way, all my devices I keep away from water. So they do not want to pull that one on me😂. I'll keep you updated either way. Has anyone else experienced this with any of the watch 7 series?
I know things can go wrong and so far I've been very lucky with my samsung devices. These things happen.

Edit

After a back up and reset all seems to be running fine. Done all the tests again in diagnostics, can happily say results are good 👍

I knew my self it wasn't to do with water or from being dropped. Thanks for your help.

I have now edited my post. After a reset all is running fine. If anyone that does experience a similar issue just out of the blue. Back up and reset the watch first.

That's unfortunate, but things happen, I've seen just few people on the same issue you having "ghost touching" thing, and i discovered its due to sensors or bit of liquid damage and some reports as its software. This is one of the kind issue as mentioned seen just handful of this issue. Really hope you will get this resolved. My watch 7 sometimes keeps punching random letters when I'm replying but I've noticed that if there any liquid on the screen it will do this thing apart from that no issues. Thanks for bringing this up

Sorry to hear that, can you return it under warranty? It sounds a bit like some type of water ingress to me

Although you did mention being a Aquaphobe with your devices like myself, ie avoiding water dierectly on the device You might care to think of Moisture (Condensation in the air would cause all those issues u mentioned) or maybe a drop or knock has actually damaged battery or components maybe battery attachment point, As you probably already imagine alot of failure point scenarios here I can sort though reading your Post. I Reccomend a tampaware tub full of rice and a few days to sit see if that helps if not A return and service or replacement like you said will be your best bet. Wish the best of luck. 🙏
