White streak on tv screen

Can this be fixed? Just appeared a week ago, no damage to tv, it’s about 4 yrs old.

Firstly just check that you have the latest update.  If the white streak is present on all sources check that connections are secure.   Are any errors detected on Picture Test,Settings-Support-Device Care-Self Diagnosis-Picture Test.   If so suggests a fault which would need repair,possbly backlight/panel.

I have two extending streak exactly same as the one above. It is a high end 2018 4K QLED model. I asked the service people and she required me to pay HKD$1000 for an on-site inspection even I uploaded the screen photo to them. I searched the web and people had exactly similar problem due to cracks in the light diffusing plastic in the display. I asked how much for the repair cost and the service said I have to pay half of the previous purchasing price which means HKD$25000 which is even more expensive to buy a new 4K TV of the same size. This is totally ridiculus! I said that the reason I want to repair it is because it is working in all other aspect and for environmental reason. I asked whether Samsung is a ESG company and she said she does not know!

Knowing this, I won't buy Samsung TV in the future anymore!
