We are swapping to the 55inch to from a Samsung ue40nu7120k.
Our current 40inch receives all channels very well.
But the new one does not receive he channels and bbc2 (these are the ones I've noticed).
Could it be that the new TV requires a stronger signal??
Its odd as they are tuned on the same aerial connection.
Also... the 55inch EPG lists channels alphabetically- not as the standard UK list.
Any ideas?

Hi @Cpaulc I would check you have tghe latest firmware, the Tv you are switching to appears to be an older model than the NU7120 if you have provided the correct model number. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE55D8000YUXXU/
If still an issue an idea is to unplig power cord or plug for a few minutes to see if this makes any difference. You could obviously try a rescan and if does not solve it . Have you tried both Auto and Manual Tuning? A guide to Manual Tuning here :

You may wish to check the freeview guide but if other Tv fine may not necessarily provide the solution.
