Dolby audio not getting from V6 to Sonos Beam

Hi

i have the UE55AU8000 tv with a virgin V6 box going into HDMI 3 and a Sonos beam connected bias the HDMI eARC port. 

When using the apps on the tv such as Netflix, Disney+ etc the Beam receives Dolby audio. However, watching channels on the v6 box results in the beam only receiving stereo (pcm) audio despite the broadcast info showing as English 1 - Dolby audio . I have checked the settings on everything and is all setup correctly. Is this tv not capable of sending Dolby from the v6 box to the beam or is there anything else I can do?

Hi Mikey_L. I'm afraid I don't know this particular TV model or Sonos sound bar. Just wondered if you had the correct HDMI cable. I think it should be 2.1 compliant as should the ports on the TV and soundbar. I would also try pluging the Virgin box directly into the soundbar just to test if that works as expected.
