My Samsung TV which is attached to a satellite dish pointing to the Astra2 E satellite has lost all the freeview channels after it updated itself with Samsung TV plus. No matter what I do and which settings I use I am only getting shopping channels and paid Sky which I don't have. I am ready to ditch Samsung for this uncalled for interference.

What has the being connected to astra got to do with it. You get freeview from a local digital transmitter. Sounds like a problem with your aerial

Hi @Members_hMq7Kug  Do you mean Freestat rather than Freeview?  For Freeview you need a Freeview Tv or box and a working aerial pointing in the direction of the Transmitter https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/equipment

if you are using Freestat have you tried  scanning again,  you may be advised to do a Factory Reset if still issues, assuming no problem with the satellite Dish.  see some more information here https://www.freesat.co.uk/help//general-troubleshooting , though likely you are using inbuilt version rather than Box.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Unfortunately it's a common issue with the Samsung tvs. If you have freesat and decide to watch samsung TV plus it loses the settings for freesat I imagine it's the same with other sat channels if connected directly via sat cables. I normally have to rescan after watching samsung TV plus. It's quick to rescan but regardless its annoying. But it on happens on that one app rest work great.
