Hello,
I have purchased 2 Samsung TVs about 2 years ago , 1 year and about 1-2 months after my first Samsung tv half the tv screen went black and went back to the shop for them to say the 1 year warranty was up and nothing could be done to fix it and it would cost more to fix than it was worth. Now after paying 500€ for a tv you think it would last a lot longer than a year.
Now my second Samsung tv that I purchased maybe 2 months after the first one with the warranty also expired the screen is starting to go black on this one also and I presume nothing can be done about this either? This tv was more expensive than the other one. I would have emailed about this but I could not find one to email but just wanted to post this here so that people might see it and stay clear of purchasing Samsung TVs that have no life long value. Very disappointed by Samsung

My 4K Samsung has just got the same issue its now half black and white I have nicked named it Al Johnson (Black & White Minstrels ) Its Shameful that these TV's are lasting only 2 years seriously is Samsung suggesting this is good enough. The give it large as a premier brand 5-7 years is reasonable. Better off buying a real brand or Hisense at least they are cheap as chips Absolutely gob smacked

It’s a known fault, Samsung are clearly aware if this issue and doing nothing about it. It should be a product recall and fault free fix.
I’m about to go tonto at them.

We have a samsung 85 inch and sure enough right at about 14 months the lower half of the screen was darker than the top. I was ready to bite the bullet and get a new TV and i saw this on youtube so i tried it and it worked! yay . . . so happy i don't have to spent another thousand dollars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-y5pt06HJ4 if you don't watch the youtube just slap the back of your tv until it's fixed hahaha (that's what i did) i did have to find the right spot it only took 1 minute
