Tidal has announced its music streaming app will no longer be available on Samsung TVs. The change will affect TVs running Tizen OS starting from 8th July 2024.

What a shame I like Tidal and really used to like watching videos.
Suppose back to YouTube.

Bit of a shame, Samsung + Tidal been a partnership for more than 5 years, I do wonder how many people it will affect? I assume not much with them ending it.

Today 07/23/24 Tidal was no longer available on my Samsung The frame 2023 Smart Tv, it’s a sad day, I never expected nothing from Samsung tv but they find a way to disappoint once again 😔

My Samsung won't play mkv or avi files unlike my older Panny, now they lost Tidal. My first experience with a Samsung and it's disappointing. 🤷🏻

I really hope they fix this bc I use Tidal exclusively and love that streaming service. Today, I can only stream music but I cannot airplay/cast music videos anymore! which i love to have running in the background as I go about my day.

Like your user name very focused.

Sadly Tidal have ditched any Android Wear and only Apple, with the whole MQA drama and Tidel being separated there maybe hope, but I doubt it, we need Tidal to work on the Samsung API.

That's not really how this works. Samsung can't force Tidal to build and maintain an app, and they can't do it themselves as that would be copyright infringement. The issue is that Tizen is a sht operating system, and developers, like Tidal don't want to build and maintain another app for said sht operating system

We have 12 Samsung items in the home. Samsung probably assumed we'd drop TIDAL... guess again Samsung, we're getting rid of you!!!
