Hi everyone!
We got 2x The Frame 65" 2021 and 2x Xbox Series X.
Two days ago one frame suddenly stopped working with the HDMI "Game Port".
The day after the other one experienced the same and now none of the TV's HDMI "Game Port" works with the Xbox. TV's just displays a "check input power source" message.
Connecting the XBOX to another HDMI-port works fine.
I checked the latest firmware @ Samsung support page and it says 1506 was made available last week, so my hypothesis is that it breaks "HDMI Game-port" functionality when using the xbox series x 4k/120hz.
I've played around with disabling VRR, HDR etc. on the xbox to no avail. Also had Samsung support remove into the TVs and first reset EDID(?) and then full factory reset.
Didn't fix the issue.
Currently using another HDMI for the Xbox but would prefer to get it back into the GAME-port as this supposedly provides a better picture and VRR-support etc.
Anyone got ideas?

Hi, I would also like to confirm that my new Frame 55 TV which updated to firmware 1506 on its initial boot and setup has the exact same symptoms regarding black screen and drop outs for the game port HDMI 4. I moved the Xbox series X over to HDMI 1 and it appeared to be working at 120hz with VRR. But as others have said I can't 100% confirm that it isn't actually only displaying at 60hz. Looks pretty good though.
Still it would be very good to have a usable HDMI port again. So fingers crossed this gets resolved soon.

I have the same issue on my 65" 2021 after update 1506. The more people replying the faster they have to fix it.
Does anyone have the popping/klick noise?😂 think they have to fix that also tho.

I will be happy if they ever fix it. So far it seems Samsung just ignores it, much like any other issue.
Pop/click noise is usually tied to audio processing/cables. What is source of your audio and what is output? This might be possibly one thing thats not Samsung fault.

The pop/click is not from audio, i only use the built in speakers. I have had 4 the frame tv's and they all do it, 2021 model less than 2020. Samsung is saying its common and not a fault. Its in the manual they say, because of tv chassis expanding when heated. On all 4 its popping once or twice everey minute🙉 a bit annoying.

Same set up here -Q70a, Xbox Series X- TV firmware version 1506. Screen tearing flickering between cutscenes or whenever a game changes it’s frame rate. No black screen so far. Flickering lines visible on dashboard- Home Screen. No black screen so far. It happens in Gears 5, RDR2 -all I tried so far. Firmware version 1560 is out on the US support page. It is compatible with the screen I have bought in the EU as I was told by a Samsung technician on the support chat. It can only be done by downloading and using a usb drive. Will try that.

The update notes sound promising regarding improved stability of inputs.

Have just found this, it's a 1.5gb download which seems a lot for firmware.
Has anyone tried it yet? I would like to give it a go but I have had bad experiences in the past with manually updating firmware.

The same update will be on automatic updates in the EU probably soon.

I would wait till its on EU. It could/might work, but given EU requires some other stupid stuff which TV must comply with its not that good idea to flash this over. At least not without full reset after.

2021 65" The Frame. Xbox Series X in port 4. all settings on except dolby vision and set to 1080p, and it works fine. change to 4k and nothing, have to wait for the xbox to revert on its own.
Talked to support and went through the motions and they said they have to send out a tech to look at it... when they saw that the tv is only a few weeks old, they asked me to just return it for a replacement. I told them that i'm for sure not the only person with this issue and thats its samsung's problem to fix.
I'm on firmware 1560.5 and still having this issue. After swapping some devices around, my XBSX seems to be fully working on port1, but anything I plug into port 4 now will just be a black image (cable box (1080p), 4k fire stick (4k), ect). it will fully detect what the device is there and tell me the resolution thats coming through, but just will not display anything. going to try a factory reset tomorrow to see if i can get the port to at least work for one of my 1080p devices while i wait for the tech to come out.
