Switching TV off and On

Our tv is on the wall and we cannot get to the plug socket to use the switch to turn the tv off and on, so the tv is always in standby mode.

Is there a way (maybe an app) where I would be able to switch the tv off and on?

I've downloaded Smart Things but this only allowed me to switch off on standby mode.

TIA,
Debbie

@debs0701: If you check the bezel below the screen, either in the centre, or off to the right by the standby light, can you see a Samsung logo? If so, try pressing it, as this sometimes doubles as the power button. If this isn't applicable, then please confirm the model number of your TV (located on the sticker on the back of the device, or in Settings > Support > About This TV) and I will look into this further for you.

Thanks for coming back to me, Andrew. I've just located the button and tried, but it puts it on standby. The model we have is UE65TU7020. Thanks

@debs0701: Please can you try taking a look at the guide in the link below, to see if this helps you to locate the physical Power button on your TV?

Hi and welcome to the community. As an alternative, you could try getting a smart plug that you can control via SmartThings.

There are plenty of options out there, for example, this Tapo one https://amzn.eu/d/1vzbZOB

Hi Andrew, thanks again for coming back to me. It's only got the buttons on the middle bottom. That still only puts it into standby mode

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. That looks like it might be my only option. Thanks again
