Stuck Pixel Only in Game Mode (The Frame 2021)

Hello,

When my The Frame 2021 TV switches in game mode, a green stuck pixel appears regardless of the source (Xbox in HDMI, Hertzian TV,  TV apps, etc.). When it's deactivated, this same pixel works perfectly, which lets me think the issue is software-related, not hardware.

I tried to ask the question on French-speaking forums but couldn't get an answer of what it could be. Another person reported the same issue with a blue stuck pixel.

I would be very grateful if a Samsung expert could help me find a fix as I'd really like to be able to use the advertised game mode with all the pixels working fine :smiling-face:

Many thanks,

Rémi

Hello all, I have a Samsung QN95A and I have a similar issue where only on game mode I have what appears to be a dead pixel, except mine is red.

As others have also notes, the pixel looks fine during normal viewing such as Freesat or watching streaming apps. However, game mode it is there and very visible, especially on dark backgrounds. I have only had the TV about 3 months, so my assumption is that it's defective. I assume there is no fix for this?

Hi @ButchTheGreat

No fix found so far, @ChrisM was to inquire about this issue but I guess he's still inquiring 😞

I ended up switching off the Game Mode. I hope one day Samsung will spend less efforts on releasing new product versions every year and put them on the quality check and the after-sale service 😕

I agree, my last Samsung TV is ten years old and is now being used in a bedroom. I was really impressed so decided to stay with Samsung. Unfortunately I already have this issue. Really strange that it only happens in game mode. Can't help but think it's something to do with the high refresh rate. Though my real concern is whether any others will start to go red.

I'll wait a week to see if I hear anything, of not I will contact Amazon with regards to an RMA process.

i recently bought a samsung tv and started using my ps5 on it and got this issue in game mode, i tried everything on this forum and nothing really worked, i even tried calling samsung, after about an hour on the phone they let me go saying it may be a ps5 problem(even though i had never encountered this on any other tv) so i check a couple settings and as it turns out if i disabled VRR the green pixel went away so i guess thats the best option

It stopped when I turned VRR on my ps5 off I guess the variable refresh rate was messing with it, game mode is fine though

Exactly same issue with my tv QN90B 65, only when I go into game mode with my ps5, one pixel gets green, so annoying directly in the middle of the screen, brand new tv, first time I put on my ps5 noticed it directly, strange is that after I connected my ps5 also in tv mode it shows up, I sending image also made a very close photo of it and it looks strange because it don't even look like a pixel, it looks like it haves some light in between of the pixel. Screenshot 2023-03-17 at 03.40.52.png
