smart Remote battery Cover!

Has anyone had trouble opening the Battery Cover on the Smart remote for the MU6400 Series TV??

It's murder trying to get it open!! Very badly designed!!

The hair dryer trick works like a charm!  But once you slide it a little way, it will stop.  At that point, it lifts off.  How Samsung expects people to divine all of this without any instruction is incomprehensible.

I to have spend about an hour trying to pryokk the back on this remote to change the batteries with no luck what so ever. Not a happy camper. Shouldn’t have to fight with it. Now what?

Had to use a piece of round flat rubber that is designed for opening food jar lids. Worked a treat.

I had the same issue, but I just moved so I don't have a blowdryer. I used the fan function in the oven for a few seconds, and then I slipped a thin knife above the arrow by pressing down at the very top. Once I got a little budging space between the remote backing cover and the remote, I pulled down to slide and lift it off.  Lowkey ridiculous that I even have to be researching and sharing tips on how to remove a remote backing. as OP said, ***** design.

Who at SAMSUNG designed this GD thing.  I can't get the cover off and I KMOW Samsung will NOT give me new one if I break this one!

I finally got if off using a paring knife in the crack that the arrow points to.
