Smart remote and virgin Freeview box

Hi all, 

Just got a new TV with smart remote, trying to set it up as a universal remote to control our virgin Freeview streaming box, but although the TV can see the box, the remote cannot control it. I've tried setting it up as pace as per other instructions but that hasn't worked. 

Does anyone have any other suggestions, it's such a shame we can't use it.

@Members_do53ywE: Please can you confirm the model number of your TV? This can be found on the sticker on the back of the device, or in Settings > Support > About This TV. 

In the meantime, please head to Home > Source > Universal remote, and follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, please head to Settings > General > External Device manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) and turn this on. This feature will require your Virgin box to be HDMI-CEC compliant.

Hi there, thanks for replying. 

Model is QE43Q60BAUXXU.  We've tried connecting via universal remote a million times, but when you get to the changing channel bit it just doesn't work. The anynet+ is already on. We've been through trouble shooting with Samsung and checked the virgin box is updated I'm loosing the will to live!
