Hi all, I’ve tried setting up my new Samsung to various makes/models as suggested both on here and on Virgins site, and I have the following problem.
Using the Samsung remote, if everything is turned off, Virgin 360 box is off, Samsung Sound bar is off, Samsung TV is off:
I press the power button on the Samsung, and everything correctly turns on including the Virgin box.
The Samsung remote happily changes channels, displays the guide, pauses etc on the Virgin box.
Everything seems to work perfectly.
Except: I press the red button on the Samsung remote before bed, the TV and the soundbar go off but the Virgin 360 box remains on.
The fact that the Samsung remote turns the Virgin box on, surely it must be communicating properly?
I really don’t want to have the Virgin remote out just to turn it off, any suggestions greatly received
Thanks

Thanks, I thought that might be the case.
It is very weird though.
Again the Samsung remote turns the virgin box on fine.
if I use the smaller Samsung remote and press the button with 123 and the colour dots on, if I then scroll to the right, I’m presented with an “Cable Box Power” option to power off the Virgin box ( see pic) and pressing this, does turn off the Virgin box, so I know the Samsung remote can do this.
Its just that unlike my previous Sony, I can’t simply press the power button on my Samsung remote and have both the TV and then virgin box turn off together, I now have to press the button on the smaller Samsung remote, then scroll to the right, then turn Virgin box off, then turn Samsung TV off which obviously is a little tedious
