Is anyone else having issues with their Smart hub on their TV's?
My smart hub has been updating and deleting my apps such as Amazon and Plex, when I re install them the Smart Hub updates and deletes these again. I have had the same issue on 3 of my Samsung Smart TV's
This happened yesterday yet they were all working fine the day before.
I have contacted Samsung and went through all the usal checks and TV resets with no success.

I overcome this by turning off auto updates. Samsung aren't releasing new updates for this tv or it's apps so you won't miss anything. Once you've disabled auto updates, download your apps (YouTube, Plex...) and you should now keep your apps next time you turn off your tv. Hope this solves your problem.

Still doing it in 2020 in Australia, for me it is sbs. As a result, when I replaced another TV in the house, I refused to get another samsung even though the hardware has been flawless, the software is Consistentently Regularly Application Problematic. Until smart hub is replaced with a better OS, this will be my last samsung

Did you follow my instruction. It's a 100% fix.

'fraid not, as I had aleady tried that. Four factory resets, several reloads, and the problem disappeared.
Since this problem dates back at least to 2012, it points to sub-optimal quality assurance, and best bet is to not buy another samsung unless they toss this *****ty custom TVOS IMHO

So you disabled auto updates then downloaded the apps? You shouldn't need to factory reset your TV.
It's nothing to do with QA with Samsung, it's that YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, plex are no longer supporting updates for older tv's, Samsung's software is detecting that these apps are out of date and removing them for security reasons when it does an auto update. Don't complain to Samsung, it's not their job to update 3rd party's software, complain to the developer of the app that's being deleted from your tv

I am afraid it is most likely to be the samsung os, otherwise the particular app, SBS, would continue uninstalling but it has ceased uninstalling for now. I have seen posts of this issue dating back to 2013 (https://www.avforums.com/threads/lost-apps-on-samsung-smart-tv.1726380/), so I am disgusted that it is still an issue in 2020.
The app installs, works, and then is uninstalled by samsung, even with auto update turned off, next time the TV is turned on. While apps that don't work at all on my UA60F8000AMXXY (~2014), such as 7plus, not only remain installed, but feature in "recommended" apps.
Now that NVS231 has me moaning about what a foolish choice I made getting a Samsung TV in the first place, I can add that additionally apps that I nominate for "My Apps" disappear after a day or so from the my apps menu, resulting in my having to go through layers of useless and ***** menu choices, before getting to the "more apps" that contain apps I actually use.
I think it is such a shame as apart from Smart Hub operation, the TV is a pleasue to watch, it is crystall clear, the apps are great when they are not wiped by smart hub, it works well with chromecast and media hubs, sound is great using its own speakers and also external speakers

@dinistic @JamesMc heres a quick video to show you how to fix this. I have tested this on UAXXES6200MXXY, UAXXF7100AMXXY and UAXXF8000AMXXY, the video shows the software version on my F7100AM is 2139. The 6200 I have had for 9 years and still going strong, a true testament to Samsungs quality assurance.
@JamesMc yes the My Apps thing triggers me too, its been a broken feature since Smart hub was released, IDK why this was never fixed, it would be nice to have all the apps I use on the home screen.

This seems to be a software-related issue. You should try updating your TV's firmware manually via USB.
