By small I mean a 20mm dia small white circles in a grid pattern are visble on the display, Its particularly bad on plain backrounds but evident all the time. Photos don't show it very well but I have attached one to try and help. You have to look carefully - its more obvious than this when watching. The TV model is UE50KU6000K and it just over two years old. We have four Samsung TV's in the house - I hope this isn't going to be a trend!

Cosmetic my butt. I, fortunately, had Geek Squad insurance on my almost 3 year old Samsung TV. When my TV started having the same problem they were explaining to me a board had burned out and needed to be replaced. As the repairs cost more than the TV, they completely replaced my 65" with a brand new one. Don't listen to some Samsung "advisor" over the phone. Insist on warranty repairs.

I had the same issue. Samsung knew about this while circles years back, easily since 2017 but continued producing TVs with this issue. They gave me the run around about expired warranty as it is over 2 years. I sent it to my local TV repair shop and paid USD 70 to fix the problem. They changed the 4 strips of backlight LEDs as everyone of the LEDs in the strip has a pin size burnt mark. Your local repair shop may charge differently for labor but the China made LEDs strip are very cheap (and better then Samsung's). Don't send it to the skip as the replacement parts may just be around USD 10 or 20.

What's the point? I've had my 50" tv since 2018. I started seeing these circles after 18 months. If I asked for help now, I'd be told that I have to pay for anyone to repair it. Being telephone phobic, I can't exactly phone to ask for assistance! Only bought it because of it being a Samsung product and expected more. Certainly won't do it again. Just remember that one bad assessment of a product ripples down the line to put thousands of potential customers off a company's product and the fact that Samsung are well aware of this product but didn't do a recall will have put hundreds of thousands of customers off buying a Samsung TV!

Same here after 2+ years!
maybe a class action suit is required and/or media attention.

It is buil up of HEAT which reacts with the adhesive/glue on the LED light diffuser rings , they fall off and lay on the indide bottom of the TV. The HEAT build up can either be where it is mounted , usually a wall mount is more problematic or the TV is just on all day.

I have them. I think it’s from keeping it on 24:7. I leave it on for the cat when I’m not home. I can live with it as long as it’s not in danger of catching fire or something.
