Samsung TV messed up my USB disk - after disconnecting disk is no longer readable

Samsung TV (Q80 series) messed up my USB disk - after disconnecting disk from TV it is no longer readable by PC and also TV sees no files on this drive. Trying repair permissions to the drive failed. Disk appears in PC as inaccessible.

PC shows alert: ""Drive is not accessible. Access is denied".  I lost many precious family movies!

Please advise.

Guys, I know it is super frustrated because my TOTAL entertainment harddrive gets corrupted. There is a software, iBoysoft Data Recovery, costs $70, and I know I sound like a broker or something, but it's worth to try to recover all your old data and then reformat it. You can also download the hacked version of it but my PC keeps blocking the cracked version of it as a virus so I can't download it... One downside of this software (or maybe I should blame samsung) is, all the files/folders that named in other languages instead of English are becoming sublines like this: _____.  But as long as we get our files back, that should be fine I think.

Many thanks for this. Formatting the drive in exFAT is the solution atm but not ideal. Samsung need to provide an update that stops the TV from altering the basic drive format making it unusable on other devices.  Can't be that difficult.

Should be a warning sing on the TV, DO NOT KILL YOUR DISK

I've had 3 destroyed so far. They worked before after removing and reinserting multiple times. Then for no reason they become unreadable.
