Hi,

For the past 5-6 months this issue still hasn't been solved, when connecting my Sony XM5s or Airpods to the 55Q80A the Bluetooth connection never works. Prior to the update of 2111, the headphones worked perfectly fine, but after the update, absolutely unusable as they auto disconnect from the TV and clearly was a very poor update. And no, this is not a Sony or Apple issue, this is a Samsung software issue, both devices connect perfectly well with my other devices, but the TV refuses to play ball. I wasn't the first person to make this clear (Solved: Samsung TV Q70A Bluetooth pairing crash with sony ... - Samsung Community - 2459888) and I won't be the last, the US forum post describes perfectly what I do when setting up and the stutter when connecting and then disconnecting. The fact that an article (Sony's best wireless headphones might not work with some Samsung TVs | T3) was written and yet nothing changed the situation. I went through the arduous process of resetting the TV and following their specific steps and all of that 4 months ago and nothing changed. After speaking to the "expert" I got the classic, "we'll send it to the people above and get back to you", and obviously I got nothing back.

Reported the issue again and got the exact same response. And am trying to clutch at straws in getting a refund or something along those lines (bought from Box.co.uk (their 6 year warranty does not cover software issues)), but I am out of warranty, so all I can do is wait around for the engineers to actually do something. At this point Samsung, you're probably breaking something in the consumer rights act 2015 . Ultimately, you won't do anything, and having someone visit my place won't fix the issue, unless they'll fix the software on the spot, which 100% won't happen.

Thanks for not helping.

Edit: Oh a what a surprise that other EU and Australia users are having the same issue. 50" QN90A firmware update broke Bluetooth transmitter - Page 3 - Samsung Community

I have an S21 Ultra, but that doesn't mean anything with regards to this, surely?

Looking at the links you kindly provided it seems Sony have problems with their own TVs. Looks like a compatibility issue with the headphones. I would say the onus is on Sony to resolve. There are Bluetooth standards they should follow so the headphones are compatible with all devices which clearly they aren't.
Delving around the net it seems there are a lot of compatability problems with Windows, Linux, MacOS, iPhone etc which leads me to disagree this is a Samsung software problem.

But there were no compatibility issues prior to the update, already told Sony about this, and they just say it's on Samsung, and I'm more inclined to believe this is on Samsung, since it all started since their update. Plus this isn't just Sony headphones, the TV don't work with Apple Airpods as well

Sorry but I have to disagree. If the Sony headphones don't work on other OS and devices, I don't see it's down to Samsung. As for the Airpods, see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254230766
Again problems with different brands and devices.
There is so much evidence in both instances that this is a third party problem.

True, ultimately no company will try to fix this, but this did all start with Samsung's update, should allow us to roll back, but thanks anyway
