I am having issues with connecting my ps5 to my new Samsung Frame 65inch 2024 model.

The ps5 either flickers in and out of connection on the screen with buffering circles, doesn't recognise it at all (blue screen saying hdmi no power or no signal) or just has a black screen. Ive added videos to YouTube below to show better than my words, as soon as they are uploaded I'll post the links I the comments below

The hmdi cable I am using works perfectly with my Hisense TV Which lets me play the ps5 perfectly so I do not see it being that, albeit it isn't one of these ultra expensive ones. And I want to see if I can troubleshoot if before purchasing one of these incase this isn't the solution.

Solutions I have tried with no luck on these forums:

Trying every hdmi port available on the Samuns One Connect

Turning off HDCP on ps5

Turning ps5 on and off (and unplugging everything)

Factory resetting TV

Software update to latest version

Went to ‘All Settings’, then ‘Connection’,select ‘External Decvice Manager’ then ‘Input Signal Plus’ and turned that off

Turning game mode on and off (obviously half the reason I chose this TV was for the framerate... so would be annoying if this needs to be off).

Please can you help as I really don't want to have all the hassle of taking my TV back and having to replace it with a different brand that might work!

Appreciate any ideas or support. Many thanks

@Alfieread: HDMI port 4 supports HDMI 2.1 for 4K 120Hz gaming, and should be suitable for your PS5, provided that you're using the HDMI cable that came packaged with the console.

If you connect the PS5 to HDMI4, then hit the Home button on your remote and scroll over to 'Source', is the input recognised on HDMI4?

So far this has (partly) worked.

I retried some solutions.

Went to TV ‘All Settings’, then ‘Connection’,select ‘External Decvice Manager’ then ‘Input Signal Plus’ and turned that off.

Ensured game mode was off. Ps5 would then be recognised. This would allow me to play the ps5 but obviously not utilising the setting I wanted.

Went onto ps5 and kept hdcp off, and changed 4k rate to -1.

This would allow me to turn game mode back on.

However this would only work properly at 1440p. When set to 2160p (reason I wanted a 4k tv...) there was loads of flickering pixels on the screen. I am going to buy a 4k 120hz cable today and hopefully that may improve things, what is everyone's thoughts on this?

I’m having the same issue as you and just had the tv installed. I’ll try your recco and give my thoughts

Hi, I have the same problem. No signal HDMI on TV, flickering when FPS dropped in games, HDR is broken. They took my tv to repair it and said that this is firmware problem and later this month updated will be available

This seemed to fix the issue and I have been able to keep the PS5 in rest mode as well. The external device manager turning off seems to be the biggest solve with game mode off.

Hi, I found an solution.

I first had the same problem but after some time I came to the conclusion that it works if you just follow some simple steps:

I plugged the PS5 in HDMI 4 but I don’t think that makes a difference.
The only thing you need to do is open hdmi 4 or if it’s detected that it is a ps5 then open that, and wait until the tv says check device power, and then turn your ps5 on. Never had any problems after that. If it didn’t work just turn of your ps5 and plug out the cable of your tv so it resets and then just do the same.

let me know if this worked!

Just bought the TV during Black Friday and having the same issues. Changing it to HDMi port #4 didn’t change anything. How do I ‘open the HMDI port’?

Hi

when you first plugged your playstation 5 into hdmi 4, and when you booted your playstation. You should have gotten a new “app/widget” in the Samsung Tizen OS menu (just the start menu). It’s called PlayStation 5 or HDMI 4. Now every time before you boot the ps5, open that “app/widget” and wait until it says “check device power”. After that message popped up you can just boot your PlayStation 5 and have no issues. I’ve been doing this now for a couple of months and never had a problem.

Side note: If you booted your ps5 earlier just put off the power off from the tv and ps5, ofcourse after shutting it off. And then try the steps again.

Hope this explanation was clearer.
