TVGood afternoon.
ive recently purchased a Q90T. I came from a 2015 Samsung which had no frame rate issues at all.
The Q90T is great in every way apart from when watching Freesat or Now TV. Both of these broadcast in 50hz/50p. So I assume it’s something to do with this frame rate.
what happens is that when there is a small amount of motion on screen such as an interview or no panning etc then the screen shows something similar to the frame rate dropping in half and everything stuttering. Once motion picks up or shot pans around then it goes back to normal.
I had all picture clarity settings set to off but I then played around with settings such as judder reduction and blur reduction etc to see if I could eliminate the stutter but nothing works.
its really bad watching football on free sat or now tv as it’s stutters quite a lot.
weirdly, not all programmes stutter. I’ve watched some catch up tv on now tv as well as movies and these show perfectly without any stuttering and all content on Netflix etc are all fine as well.
I am on the latest firmware.
any ideas if this is common or if there is a fix as nothing I’ve tried works.
thank you

TVNew firmware is out and according to a user on the other forums, it’s unfortunately not fixed the issue. Please please please Samsung fix this issue for us.

TVDid not work for me either. This is ridiculous. I’m past my return time frame so I’m stuck with this until Samsung does something

TVI realize this is an EU forum, but I see this same issue on my Q80T in the US on sports programming.

TVIt does seem to be a widespread issue and that’s why I’m surprised it’s still not been fixed in any firmware.
can any moderators of the forum pass this up the chain so Samsung can develop a fix?

TVThe moderators do not do anything on here in terms of passing on information on the threads. They are here to moderate the forums or read from a script basic trouble shooting issues. To get the ball rolling would require a support ticket raised via email to uk.technical@samsung.com
You would need someone to come out and look at the issue themselves and then you would get a response.

TVWe need to spread the word on social media, Samsung might pull their finger out then...

TVThis is an issue for me when using Virgin Media, watching BBC etc. it's not unbearable but it's annoying. Clearly an issue with refresh rate when watching cable/Sky TV.

TVYes I have it on freesat as well. Some programs are fine but others are horrendous especially sports or game shows.
the native apps on tv such as iPlayer also suffers with the issue and now tv suffers badly but only on sports from what I can tell at moment. Movies and tv shows on now tv seem to playback fine.
heard people with sky also have the issue. We haven’t figured out what’s causing it though. Can be temporarily fixed by turning on game mode to watch freesat etc but game mode doesn’t work with inbuilt apps.

TVStrangely enough football and rugby seems ok on itv and bbc hd via the tv plus but if using a now tv box or fire stick it is awful!

TVYes in actual fact I watched football on itv the other day and that did seem ok, a little stutter but nothing too major and certainly watchable. However, like you I’ve found that now tv football is the worst. It’s very stuttery. Bt sport through app on tv is completely fine though.
