Hi there,
Im looking to buy a new tv in anticipation for the new Series X Xbox. Can someone please confirm if the 49inch Q80T model is capable of 4K @ 120hz, I spoke to someone on live chat which said it did. However many reviewers and articles state it is a 60hz panel.
Can anyone help?

@harryeanderson: I've had a look into this for you and I can confirm that the 49 inch Q80T is capable of 4K @ 120hz via HDMI port 4. I hope this helps.

Hi @AndrewL, do you have any supporting documentation that you could point me too on this? I can't find anywhere that this 49 model can do 4K @ 120hz.

Hi,
Would like to know this as well, as website does not state it and live chat did not know and have not heard anything from the tech team.
As stated reviews say that it does not support 4k @ 120 only the bigger sizes do.
Also does it support HLG and VRR
thanks

Having the same problem
read the 49 in dose run at 60hz an many tvs use a upscale where they slip in black screen flicker so fast we dnt see it, need find a true native 120hz tv and not a upscaled 60hz

49 in do not support 120 only the larger 55 an above my problem is, isit native 120 or upscaled from 60hz

hard to know what to believe.. I have this TV and bought it specifically for 4k120 next-gen gaming so will complain directly to CEO if this is misinformation from the manufacturer.

a lot of it is in the fine print, the 49" and 50" are native 60hz panels (motion rate 120) the models larger than 50" are (motion rate 240 - native 120hz panels)

Thanks. So when Samsung says that the TV can run 4k120 gaming (4k resolution, 120fps refresh rate) is this accurate or not? It is really confusing and unfair. I have bought a TV being told it is 4k120 but still aren't sure.. No one can give me a straight answer. Really poor from Samsung.
If it actually comes to light tge 49inch version does not support 4k120 gaming I will be asking for compensation from Samsung directly.
