Hi!
Recently I bought a QE55Q70RATXXH qled TV from Samsung. When I connect my Xbox 360 to the tv via HDMI, it says "No signal" on the TV.
The Xbox works fine on every other display I've tried (1080p monitor and another 4K TV from Philips). The HDMI ports on the TV also seem to function perfectly when connecting either a PC or Mac.
My ideas are running out. Could someone shed some light on this issue, has anyone else encountered this?
Things I've tried:
1) All HDMI ports (checked all ports with other devices to see that they indeed work)
2) Different cables
3) Game mode on/off, Input signal plus on/off and other settings that I found on the TV
4) Updating TVs firmware
5) All kinds of settings on the Xbox (also the settings that worked on the Philips TV)
6) Power button long-hold
Thank you!

hi, did you buy the splitter for
hdmi? I would like you to keep me
informed of possible solutions
to help others with the same
problem. Good evening.

Just an update for anyone else experiencing this issue.
I did purchase a HDMI splitter, and unfortunately this did not solve the problem. It reinforces to me that there is some form of software glitch on the 2019 series of Samsung TV's.
The software of my 2019 RU8000 will not allow the connection of the Xbox 360 for some reason. It must be software related as there is no other way I can try to connect my Xbox to the TV.
I telephoned Samsung support - who were awful. The gentleman I spoke with could not have been more disinterested in my problem. I have a lot of Apple products and I am used to their excellent customer support. I was really let down with my dealings with Samsung technical support.
I asked if I could report a fault and was told it was a Microsoft issue as I could
connect other devices fine. It apparently did not matter that the Xbox worked perfectly fine on other TV's 🤔.
I feel I am now out of options! Does anyone else have any suggestions on how this can be raised with Samsung??

hello, I am enormously sorry that
there is no solution to this
problem considering the spread
of the xbox 360. As I previously
wrote to you I had doubts that
a splitter would solve the lack of
communication with the TV as it is
only a diverter and does not add
any type of information. I believe that the only possible solution
is a cable that incorporates an internal
chip a as far as I know the only one-way
cable that has these characteristics
is the one with "Redmere" technology - link
(active-hdmi-cables-technology / 510)
unfortunately they are not easy to find
and they are also expensive, beyond this I
would no longer know how to do it😟. Hope you can try this solution too.
Hopefully, Samsung engineers will remedy
this with a firmware update. I wish everyone a good day.

So a further update for anyone else having this issue...
Samsung have sent me a USB stick containing the latest firmware for the TV. In actual fact, it was the same firmware that was already installed on the TV and the day after the USB stick arrived, an update was actually posted on the Samsung download section for my TV.
I installed the update, hoping for the best... Sadly, it did not fix this issue.
I replied to the Samsung technical support contact over email, who had been assisting me with the USB drive update. He said that this was now out of his area of expertise and I would have to ring Samsung to further the issue...
I have yet to find the time to do this... Does anyone else have the same issue?

Hi, first of all thank you for
sharing with us information
relating to the problem of not
recognizing the Xbox 360 on the
TV series in question.
We hope that Samsung will read
this post and find a solution to
use the console also because many Tvs
in 2020 have no other inputs
than HDMI (component, VGA, etc.)
so it would no longer be possible
to connect the console.
(Sorry if I ask you this
question but have you tried
using an active HDMI
cable with integrated chip?).
A cordial greeting to all.

Hi, I didn't know anything about the hdmi signal detection problem on xbox 360 anymore and I would like to know if anyone has solved it somehow. I came up with an idea but it is not possible for me to realize it as I do not have an xbox one s, perhaps using the one input port and sending the signal out directly from the console would pass the communication problem with the 360. Thanks in advance for reading me.

Same issue here with a Q70 and a Xbox One X
Game mode switches between on-and-off and eventually it goes to no signal.
Xbox works fine on an older Samsung TV, tried three different HDMI cables and all four ports on the tv. Still no success.

I too still have this issue and even two recent software updates have not solved this issue.
Sadly, Samsung support are refusing to get involved and realise there is an issue. They keep referring back to Microsoft. But it’s not a Microsoft issue as the Xbox works perfectly well with all other displays I have tested it on - including older Samsung TV’s!
Is there a Samsung support agent active on these forums that can step in to help??

Hi everyone, I bought a samsung q60r tv that shares the same firmware as the higher models (q70r etc.) and to my surprise it immediately recognized my xbox 360 connected with hdmi cable, the only difference with the larger models is the difference in input which is not 120hz but only 60hz which is the output frequency of the xbox 360 it is likely that the tv tries to communicate with the 360 but unlike the more recent models (xbox one s, xbox one x, etc. ) can't establish any form of communication with the 360. A possibility that you could test for 360 models that allow it is to use a component - hdmi converter so that it is detected as external and not as a console. I don't understand how Samsung doesn't try to fix the problem. Good evening.
