My Setup: Denon AVR X2700H + Denon AVS-3 + Samsung Q95T + Various inputs including PS5 Through AVS-3 and 8K input.
After the last firmware update from Samsung for my Q95T (Firmware 2303), 8k/4K@120 mode is no more working with my PS5 :(... I have been using this settings for months with no problem..... but know with the same cables and configuration...... I get "No signal" and suddenly I loose all inputs not only 8K/4K@120. After that the only way to recover video is to disable 8K/4K@120 enhanced and then power cycle the TV any idea guys ¿? has the last firmware break 8K/4K@120/4K@60 HDR 4:4:4 !!?
Please any help could be great !!!

Also, I have tried connecting PS5 directly to port 4 and it does give me full 4k@120 but I get sound with delay and not full 5 channel surround - even after changing the necessary settings. So for me it is not an option to go through eARC

There must be a problem between the TV and Denon through the AVS-3, as it’s just not giving me the stated range. As I only have one free 2.1 HDMI port on my tv, but need two, I found these on Amazon. Sounds like they do the job that the Denon gadget can’t. Just have to research a bit to choose which one.
this is the gadget
all the best

There is clearly a problem with 2303 FW and Samsung is doing nothing to help... as always... They have break compatibility with some hdmi 2.1 devices like our AVR.... I don't know what can we do.... eARC is a workaround.... but is not a solution.... Maybe we can put any reclamation together.... Samsung Engineering team is very good but Samsung support team really sucks.... I had have so many problems with phones, watch, tvs.... and is always the same.... the support is totally useless....

Hello.
PS5 got an upgrade of its HDMI 2.1 specification (FreeSync support has been added). This may directly be connected to a known (and acknowledged) problem with Denon and Marantz receivers with 4K/120Hz and 8K video resolutions.
Denon and Marantz issued an HDMI adapter that fixes the issue. Please try to apply for the adapter using the below application form if You have not done yet so. Although Denon/Marantz customers were asked to do so before the September 30th, perhaps it will still work.

Marantz:
Good luck.

I received my adapter about a month ago and it does not fix the issue, it still does not work.

I have this adaptor since like 1 year ago.... and has been working perfect till 2303 Samsung FW release... This FW killed compability ! Anyway I will try this weekend again.... just in case PS5 update has something to do with this.... but I really doubt it.... Many thanks !

Hello.
Sorry to hear that.
I may ask several strange and even anoying questions but my colleagues will need some details, we will do our best to work towards some solution.
While all devices are running (TV, receiver, PS5) and the HDMI cable is disconnected from TV and 20 seconds later it is connected back to TV, is there any signal displayed? If so, what resolution is it? I suppose we are working now with HDMI3 which, based on the e-manual specification supports timings up to 4K@60Hz YCbCr 422 on TU9 models (HDMI4 supports resolutions up to 4K@120Hz RGB 444). In both cases Input Signal Plus must be enabled (HOME -> SETTINGS -> GENERAL -> EXTERNAL DEVICE MANAGER -> INPUT SIGNAL PLUS -> HDMI3, HDMI4).

If 8K enhanced signal is activated in the receiver, there is signal very briefly until the tv recognizes it is a PS5 and it will switch on input signal plus, which will result in the previously described problems of no signal and no other HDMI ports working.

Hello.
Please try this USB software upgrade image. Please note that it is only issued for this specific issue. Therefore it is not recommended for any general TV upgrade purpose.
