When attempting to use a Nintendo Switch with the S90C in Game Mode, the TV screen goes black. Standard viewing works without issues, but enabling Game Mode for gaming optimisation results in a loss of video signal. This issue persists despite checking cables and restarting both the console and the TV.
Game Mode has worked for me in the past, it would automatically turn on once the source was changed to Nintendo Switch, so I know something is fundamentally wrong here.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
1. Verified HDMI cables are securely connected.
2. Restarted both the Nintendo Switch and the TV.
3. Attempted different HDMI ports on the TV and different HDMI cables.
4. Attempted different Nintendo Switch Dock.
5. Confirmed Game Mode works with other devices.
6. Factory reset the TV.
Requested Resolution:
Please provide guidance on compatibility between Nintendo Switch and S90C Game Mode settings or suggest configuration adjustments to resolve the screen blackout issue.

This finally got fixed for me yesterday. An engineer updated the T-CON and game mode now works with Switch and PS5, no more black screens!

@LukedIn: When your Switch is connected via HDMI, is the connection being recognised in Home > Source (or when pressing the Source button on the standard remote)? If so, please try heading to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Input Signal Plus > Toggle this on for the relevant HDMI port.
When Game Mode is on, press and hold the play/pause button on your Smart Remote to open the Game Bar, and check the settings here (Picture Mode, Screen Ratio etc) to see if this helps. If the problem continues, try connecting to another TV (a friend or family member), as this will help to verify if the problem lies with the TV or the console.

@AndrewL: The connection is being recognised in both Home > Source and when pressing the Source button. I have toggled on Input Signal Plus for the port but I have noticed this turns off on its own sometimes.
When I turn on Game Mode with the Nintendo Switch selected, the screen goes black, pressing and holding the play/pause button on the Smart Remote to open the Game Bar doesn't work, nothing appears on screen. The only way to clear the black screen is to unplug the HDMI cable from the Nintendo Switch. I have a Samsung Monitor upstairs which works flawlessly with the Nintendo Switch so I know it's an S90C issue.

@LukedIn: Please try heading to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Game Mode Settings > Game Mode, and set this to 'Auto' to see if this helps.
You should also check the Switch settings themselves, to see if there are any restrictions in place that might be causing the signal to drop e.g. resolution output.

@AndrewL: I have set it to 'Auto' but the issues persists.
I have changed all the different settings in the Switch's TV settings but no luck.

This exact thing just happened to me as well, and I’ve never had a problem with it before.

I'm wondering if it's a firmware related issue.

Tried all of that, didn’t work. It works with another TV, however just a week ago it worked on this specific TV - which is strange.

You’re describing it perfectly, now that I know that I’m not the only one it’s certainly a S90C problem.

Any solutions so far? I am dealing with the same issue with switch and ps5, no issues with nvidia shield, it seems to be with gaming consoles only, it was working 2 days ago, and I have tried different cables, ty
Edit: just tried with ps5 cable new from best buy , issue persist.
