Experiencing same issue on similar model. Extremely hot lower left corner of a white screen with vertical lines. Could easily melt plastic and quickly become a fire hazard. Have to believe Samsung is aware of this issue at it represents a significant home safety concern. This TV is out of warranty but certainly disappointed to have a set that was fine one day and now ready for the trash. Very disappointed as Samsung prides itself on product quality.

@DanD1234: Please note that I have removed the image from your post, as it contained key identifying details of your TV, including the serial number. The model number, for reference, is UN50J6200FXZA.

While some overheating is to be expected, this should certainly not be hot enough to melt plastic. If this is the case, and if you are based in the UK or Ireland, then please send a private message to Sam_UK, and we can get this escalated for you. If the set is overheating, but with no visible indications, then please contact our Support Team by heading to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Contact us, and an advisor will be able to assist you further.
