Hi, first post on here - maybe someone can help (I've tried the online Samsung hints, to no avail). Had the TV (secondhand) for a month. All fine until the NEWS tab on ITVx refuses to show any programmes: "Sorry there are no programmes in this category right now", which is clearly wrong. Tried unplugging, leaving overnight: no change. Can't reinstall the app as it's pre-installed. Stumped, really. Any ideas? Everything else works fine - just no News on ITV (which some might say is a good thing!). Cheers peeps.

Check your postcode saved under the location tab in the ITVx app settings. Whilst in there, read the corresponding information to see if it's relevant to you.

Cheers Robin, yep, tried that and it's good. Used to even get the local Border News. Nothing now!

Hi @JulzAtCumbria   Is your ITVX app on the latest update?   If you  have the correct postcode should not be an issue.  I know that some programs cannot be streamed live on ITVX  but does not seem to apply to News, all programs should be available on demand for a limited period anyway.  https://support.itv.com/en_us/why-can-t-i-watch-the-news-for-my-region-rkNf2esfi

Cheers, James - appreciate the input. I've been looking at posts on updating apps, but they go through a process (like a Smart Hub) that I cannot find on this TV. Is there an easy way of updating apps? I've not been successful with this, so far. Thanks!

Fine, you should still have a Smart Hub on your model. Depends if you are able to set Apps are set to Auto update mind you. Some information here 😐

Don't know where in Cumbria you are, but what happens if you input your postcode as say, Kendal, Penrith or Carlisle. Does it pick anything up then?

Good thinking, Robin. I've changed it to Carlisle. No change so far, but I'll unplug the TV, leave it for a bit and try again. btw, on the Support tab, under Settings, the Self Diagnosis/Software update options are greyed out, so I cannot access the Smart Hub directly in order to change the apps. I think this is a 2016 model TV, so may be too old for options like that. Thanks again for your help. J

Thanks again, James. Under the Support Tab, in Settings, both Software Update and Self Diagnosis are greyed out, so I cannot access them. In the System tab, under Expert Settings, I have Autorun Smart Hub set to 'On', but I cannot reach the Smart Hub directly. Basically, I think that this model is probably too old (2016?) to be able to do much fiddling with, in terms of updating apps, etc.. Thanks again for your advice. J
