Hello,

Since 2 weeks, I'm the happy owner of a Samsung S90 OLED TV (GQ65S90CATXZG)

The smart remote solar worked perfectly until I decided to reset the TV (initial configuration was not done correctly).

After the reset - restart of the TV the smart remote doesn't work anymore.  (remote is charged 90%).

I tried everything found on internet to associate the remote with return + play, but it doesn't work, the TV doesn't launch the automatic pairing function.

After that everytime I touch a key, the remote is blinking red for 1mn (during this time i noticed the remote is visible on bluetooth search on my mobile for example, but not on the TV).

The strange thing is that I have another Samsung NeoQled QN85A, and on this TV my S90remote is immediately associated and work (means I have 2 remote working on this TV). The QN85A immediatly associate the remote from S90 without any action on my side. It's like since the reset the S90TV doesn't search for the remote.

I have also tried to follow youtube videos to factory reset the remote, but nothing work.

Thanks for any support :winking-face:

I have a similar problem with pairing my Smart Remote Control to my newly acquired Samsung UE32T5300 for use in the bedroom.

Like you mentioned...

I also have a Samsung UE50AU9000 - pairing my Smart Remote Controls (all 3 of them) works perfectly! Bizarre, or what!

Do I contact Samsung and tell them to replace my defective TV because their Smart Control pairing does not work with my new TV?

Apart from this frustration the TV works perfectly!

Any input, especially from Samsung, would be appreciated. I am sure we are not alone in having this problem!

UPDATE: 30 minutes later - tried to pair again and get a message on screen which says  "Not Available". So does this mean that certain Samsung 2023 manufactured models are not compatible with their Smart Remote Control?

Extra Note: The Smart Remote being used is a genuine Samsung remote sold with my other Samsung UE50AU9000, not a Chinesium copy!!

Just in case this is a problem encountered by other forumites, it is now resolved! Not by Samsung, who in their wisdom informed me that the smart remote control was faulty and I should buy a new one from them at £58.17! (Despite working OK with my other Samsung TV!)

I took the batteries out and waited a couple of days! Batteries back in, power up TV and bingo, no pairing necessary, it paired automatically!

Problem solved!!

Did Samsung fix this problem?

Big NO.

I called them, left hanging on and then gave up, by selecting that they call me back! Nothing heard since!

I went round in circles on their self diagnostics always ending up with "my remote control needs replacing, send us £58.17 and we will send a new one!"

As you will have read above, I removed the batteries, waited a few days, replaced batteries and voila, everything worked!

So, it seems that after sales service from Samsung does not exist!

Could you please help me showing how to remove batteries from the smart remote? I am also affected and want to try.

Thanks

Edit: mine is the solar smart remote. Any idea if battery disconnection is possible?
