I have an older TV which supports Anynet+ . When I turn on my Apple TV, the source automatically changes from HDMI1/DVI to HDMI-CEC (Apple TV) as expected. However, when I turn off the Apple TV, the source defaults to TV and I then have to manually change to HDMI1 using the remote. Is there any way to have the source revert automatically to HDMI1 when the Apple TV is turned off?

Thanks for the reply. As far as I can see that only affects what happens when the Apple TV is switched on. I still can’t see any way to go directly back to the HDMI input rather than TV when Apple TV is turned off.

Maybe I didn’t explain very well. The HDMI input is connected to the set top box (we never watch via the TV input) so we’re not going back to nothing. I’m just looking for a way to go directly back to the STB when Apple TV is turned off.

You could install smartthing on your mobile device, then add your TV and create a routine: When TV is turn on or off then change the TV source to your desire source. That worked for me.
