Input source when Apple TV is turned off

I have an older TV which supports Anynet+ . When I turn on my Apple TV, the source automatically changes from HDMI1/DVI to HDMI-CEC (Apple TV) as expected. However, when I turn off the Apple TV, the source defaults to TV and I then have to manually change to HDMI1 using the remote. Is there any way to have the source revert automatically to HDMI1 when the Apple TV is turned off?

Thanks for the reply. As far as I can see that only affects what happens when the Apple TV is switched on. I still can’t see any way to go directly back to the HDMI input rather than TV when Apple TV is turned off.

sorry to say, but why would you want it to be on hdmi when there is nothing on, dont you just want it to auto switch to tv or any other source that on, so you can watch instead of a black screen with nothing on?
for me I like it to auto switch to tv Freeview channel instead of a black screen with nothing on it. then when I'm on playstation console or dvd player it auto change to that source

Maybe I didn’t explain very well. The HDMI input is connected to the set top box (we never watch via the TV input) so we’re  not going back to nothing. I’m just looking for a way to go directly back to the STB when Apple TV is turned off.
