@Dinodzz: Filmmaker Mode reduces the amount of post processing applied by the TV, so the film you're watching looks as it was intended to by the filmmaker (hence the name). The effect it has will depend on the content you're viewing, however both Movie and Filmmaker modes will typically darken the image, which may be why it seems like there's not much difference when you switch between the two.
