Hi all,
I have many tv's and they have lasted between 20 and 30 years +
My Samsung has lasted for three years. Is this normal? I've called support and they have said tuff luck. I just find this one expensive disposable product. If that's the case that's £200 a year, ouch.
Anyone else had the same experience?

Has anyone managed to fix this problem please?
Our 5 year old Samsung TV has just started doing this black line in the middle of the screen and have tired all the turn off and reset etc but it didn’t do anything…

Afraid it be a new screen, I managed to get curry’s to fix it free of charge as it was under 5 years old under the consumer rights (5 years inn Scotland think its 6 or 7 years in England) was a bit of a fight as i had to use resolver site.

Me. I have several TVs and 2 , only 2 of them both Samsungs lasted exactly three years.
I am just now experiencing the fact that their biggest tv they have produced after three years , 2 of which off because I was away for the Covid situation , the screen made all of a sudden one line than 2 and now in 2 weeks you can’t watch it. I called Samsung, I am supposed to pay for a technician to come and I was anticipate that it is probably the screen and the cost is 850. Do not buy Samsung ! They are robbing people . How can a broken part cost like a new tv? Apart from this their tvs don’t last , the quality is awful as proven by facts .I lost 3000 the fist time and 14pp this time . Both tv to throw away . I was also told it was bad luck ,,:(

Iv had mine 1 year a 5 months and has now completely stopped. Gone black and doesn't turn on. Can see it trying but nothing happens.
It started off by having picture and no sound then it went reverse, sound but no picture now both.
£550 55" TV brand new from Currys. Seems a bit ***** to me ? And I'm a Samsung fan usally. Very disappointed

I agree, Samsung bought from curry's, one year warranty, after 3 years led board gone! Not acceptable. Bought a Samsung from an independent dealer, 6 year warranty, still going strong. Do Curry's get an inferior product at a cheaper price from Samsung thus they only offer one year warranty! Just a thought.

I have been a major Samsung supporter. I have chromebook, Tv's and still using my Galaxy S5. However, I'm extremely disappointed. They disabled support of my chromebook after 3 yrs..and now...3 yrs into my new TV..it is messed up as well. It would seem greed has put samsung at a replacement of their newer items at 3 yrs.

My Samsung tv lasted 2 years. 2 years to the day. I bought it 4th of July 2020 and 4th of July 2022 it just stopped having any picture whatsoever. Costs more than a new TV to have it fixed. Guess I will be buying a new, non Samsung tv. This is the first of their products I have ever purchased and holy ***** is it the last.

If it’s less than 5 years old it should still be covered under consumer law. You should contact the shop you purchased it from and they should sort it out for you.

Mine just broke today, I bought it in December 2020, a little over a year and a half.
I picked a Samsung because I thought it was a quality product.

Same here, I bought mine in December 2020 and it sounds like the same problem your having. I'm also disabled and made payments on this television, now I need another one, sucks.
