TV: UE55 NU7500
I'm not sure whether this is a general Samsung issue or just to do with my TV, but the amount of space allocated to the Smart Hub apps seems to be seriously lacking.
As this is a new TV I thought I'd explore some of the available apps, but when I went into the Apps area I got a message saying that there was insufficient space to update apps. This was before I had downloaded anything, so it would purely apply to the pre-installed apps.
I checked settings and the used space was 751MB with 64MB available, i.e. 7%. This seems absurd as these apps can't be deleted and are built into the system. The available space doesn't even allow them to be updated. I then tried resetting Smart Hub. This has helped to an extent as the available space is now 13%. However, it's still far too low and whenever I try and download a new app I get a warning about available space.
I can't believe that the pre-installed apps are taking around 700MB of space, and it seems crazy that Samsung would design the system this way. Presumably I will have to install an SD card to provide more space for the apps?
Any tips welcome as this is my first Samsung TV.

My Samsung Engineer, as requested via John Lewis, is arriving today. I will update you all on the outcome.
My model is the UE65NU7400

Given my 7192 is not getting updates after 1292.1 , the possibility that they are pulling the plug is becoming probable
But if they stop updates, we get damaged vs the other models that keep getting updates
My thoughts are. If Samsung do stop updates to th NU7000 series 2018 model but continue to update 2017 models this must show a design fault with our TVs

I think it would be a good idea to state model and firmware update including the country we are in.
This could be useful reference if Samsung do stop giving us updates.
So living in Greece -model 55'' Nu7093 - firmware 1292 also noticed my update button is now greyed out on TV

Well I couldn't be happier.
Two engineers came in and assessed my tv. They took the serial number, model and tapped away in a tablet.
I showed them the storage (I have 40mb on a factory reset) and they told me the following.
I have to have a new mainboard with upgraded storage. I will hear back within 5 days and they will fit the board in my home.
If you bought your set from John Lewis, they WILL get an engineer to fix it. If not JL will replace to the RU series 7

Please keep us updated - if this is a John Lewis success - I'll be giving them a ring.

Country: Greece / Model: 55NU7402 2018 / Store: Mediamarkt
I didnt had new so I called Samsung to ask whats the progress (refund/replace request). They said we dont have any news yet, allow us 24 hours to call you back.
Then I called the technical guys (official Samsung support) and they tell me: "We have a new maybe not so good for you. We received a memo from Samsung in case of TVs with 100mb storage left, dont fix or replace motherboards. Inform customer that this is the hardware limit of this TV and if they want to install other apps they have to use an external usb drive".
In other words, due to high cost Samsung is not able to refund/replace thousand of TVs nor to replace motherboard with a newer one with bigger memory. They will insist that this is the hardware limitation of the device and we have to live with that. Of course, they will stop update of inner apps in order to stay to avoid totally run out of space.
And that's all folks. If someone is lucky enough will get a replace directly by the store. But not so easy as well.
